In Layman's Terms is seeking works of poetry and creative nonfiction with the specific theme of biodiversity for our first issue--stories that highlight the complexities of ecosystems, the benefit of diversity, and the risks to humans when biodiversity is lost. We want stories that connect the broader concept of conservation to the individual in order to inspire care and compassion for the world we all share.
